Performer's Certificate Program - Graduate - 2012 University Catalog

You are viewing the 2012 University Catalog. Please see the newest version of the University Catalog for the most current version of this program's requirements.

The Performer's Certificate is designed for highly talented and motivated young musicians who would like one year of intensive music study. The program focuses on the practical, performance-based aspects of music, including private instruction, participation in ensembles, and concert experience. One full recital is required during the two semesters of study. There is a two-year version of the Performer Certificate's, known as the Artist's Diploma.

The Performer's Certificate is a one-year program involving six credits per semester. Due to the intensive amount of weekly practicing and rehearsing involved, students in this program will be considered by the University to be full-time students. The tuition fees will be calculated according to “In-state Graduate” tuition. In generic form, this one year-long program contains sixteen hours of principal private study, and eight hours of chamber music and/or large-ensemble participation.
