Profile

Jacqueline Catalano joined the Department of Social Work and Child Advocacy (formerly the Center for Child Advocacy and Policy) in 2007 as Program Manager. She comes with considerable experience in child welfare and program management. She holds a master’s degree in Counselor Education from Queens College. At MSU, she works closely with the Chair of the Department and is responsible for being the Department's liaison within the MSU infra-structure, administering CHAD and Social Work programs, overseeing graduate admissions, ongoing student advisement both graduate and undergraduate, assessment coordination, management of the CHAD website, and providing support to all of the Department's grants and programs. With over 30 years of experience in child welfare and higher education, her areas of interest include academic advising, higher education administration, child welfare and advocacy, and programs and policy development. Previously, Ms. Catalano was the Director of Homefinding, Intake and Training at Episcopal Social Services in Manhattan, NY for over 15 years.
