Crystal Clear Facts about Your Water

This course will run on Thursday, July 1 and Thursday, August 26

In order to bridge the gap between the fact and discovery, What Does a Scientist Do? works to break down and humanize the scientific process in a way that shows anyone how to do it. From here, The Good and the Bad, Water Style, gives background information about the sources and availability of the most important resources on Earth: Water. Following this, Clearing things up about Water Filtration explores the alternate routes (human infrastructure and natural cycling) by which water is made available for our use and consumption. To tie it all together, the audience is encouraged to take on the role of a scientist themselves. Using the methodology and information provided, How Clean is Your Water? Ask a Waterbug! will allow them to experience a slice of life as a freshwater scientist, studying the quality of a given water body through guided learning practices.
