It is important to keep an accurate record of all your community service hours. This information is important for many reasons. For example, volunteering is a great way to build professional experience, and being able to market the skills and the experiences you’ve gained is invaluable. By maintaining a volunteer log with the Volunteer Center, you will be able to report your service hours when applying for an internship or job.
You are responsible for returning this form to the Volunteer Center to keep on file.
- Service logs are available on ENGAGE under “DOCUMENTS” and in CSI Room 104J.
- Service logs can be submit in person or through email.
- Service hours can also be submitted through Engage. You must be registered on the Volunteer Center roster to submit hours for approval via Engage.

The Volunteer Center recommends using any of the following online databases to find additional service opportunities: Volunteer Match, Jersey Cares, IWantToMowYourLawn, Volunteer Center of Bergen County, Volunteer Center of South Jersey, Dosomething.org, Just Serve, allforgood.org, Catchafire, Zooniverse.org, Montclair Film Volunteer, and United Way of Northern New Jersey. To search within different counties, NJ Volunteer Centers, has resources for all NJ counties.
Wish to donate items you no longer need/want and there isn’t a related donation drive on campus? You can donate items on your own time with the help of this list of donation drop off locations, Donation Drop-Off Google Sheet, to help with this process. These sources are being updated and changing as things change, so remember to check back for updates before donating.
We have also set up a form for donation drives if your organization wishes to do. This form covers all information about the drive including your organization and organization in which the drive is being held for. IF YOU WISH TO HOST A DRIVE ON CAMPUS, FILLING OUT THIS FORM IS MANDATORY. Doing so will prevent competing donation drives & crowding of donation boxes.
