Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Part of the United States Citizen Corps Program, the Montclair State University CERT team was established in 2003. CERT members give critical support to first responders in emergencies, provide immediate assistance to victims, organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site, and collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts. Montclair State University is the first college in New Jersey to have such a program, and one of only four nationwide. More information is available on the Emergency Information website.

Employee Assistance Program

The Montclair State University Employee Assistance Program provides free support services for all University employees and their families. Learn More.

Lost & Found

If you lost a personal item on campus, you can attempt to locate it by doing the following.

  1. Check the Student Center online inventory.
  2. Check with University Police and file a “Lost Property Report.” If the item is turned into UPD, we will contact you if a report is on file for the item described.

Title IX and Gender-Based Misconduct

Title IX is a federal law which prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender or sex. Sexual harassment and sexual violence are forms of discrimination under Title IX.

Gender-Based Misconduct is the term Montclair State University uses to describe the range of behaviors that are prohibited under our policies relating to gender, sex, and relationships. It includes non-consensual sex and sexual contact, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, dating and domestic violence, and stalking.

Get more information as well as how to file a report or who to contact on the Title IX and Gender Misconduct website.
