Located on the corner of Valley Road and Normal Avenue, Montclair State’s digital sign is used to inform the University community and the public about University events and activities, and to promote its programs and achievements. The sign displays images as well as text, and its highly visible location makes it ideal for letting people know what is happening at the University.
University Communications and Marketing manages the messages displayed on the sign and posts those that are of general interest and open to all students, faculty, staff and members of the surrounding communities. We will accept requests to place messages about University activities, events or programs on the sign provided they are open to all members of the University community and the public.
Messages
The digital sign displays messages as graphic images rather than typed text. For this reason, even for a message composed entirely of text, we create it as a graphic image. The best messages use few words with large text so that they are easy for passing motorists to read and understand. We recommend no more than three or four lines of 20 characters or fewer.
To request a message be placed on the University’s digital sign at the Valley Road / Normal Avenue campus entrance, fill out our University Digital Sign Message Request Form.
