• Catherine Baird (Library Services) is quoted in this NorthJersey.com article (written by senior journalism major Jennifer Portorreal) about a media literacy bill in New Jersey that has received bipartisan support.
• Spectrum, a news site focusing on autism research, included Erin Kang (Psychology) on its “40 Under 40” list of early-career researchers.
• The University is mentioned in this NorthJersey.com article about the James Howe House in Montclair, one of the oldest structures in town and rich in African American history, which was up for sale until a group of donors in the community stepped in at the last minute to save it.
• Montclair is mentioned in this Higher Ed Dive article for stepping in to merge with Bloomfield College to keep it open.

• Stephanie Silvera (Public Health) is quoted in this December NorthJersey.com article about whether COVID-19 infections are expected to spike after the holidays.
• Jonathan Howell (Linguistics) is quoted in this New Jersey Monitor article about the state government embracing new phrases.
• Photographs produced by photojournalism students in the School of Communication and Media were published in Montclair Local.
• New Jersey Stage noted that our campus was a featured location in the Peacock limited series The Best Man: The Final Chapters.
• Christopher Parker (Classics and General Humanities) called in to The Brian Lehrer Show on WNYC for a call-in segment about miracles or things that happened “against all odds.” Parker shared that 30 years ago while waiting for a bus, he was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Despite not knowing if he would live, walk or speak again, Parker eventually recovered to finish his doctorate, father another child and go into teaching.
• Kaitlin Mulcahy (Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health) is quoted in this NJ Spotlight News article about a recent report that found children with mental health conditions are being brought to pediatric hospital emergency departments at increasing rates across the country.
• Kirk Johnson (Justice Studies) is quoted in this Philadelphia Tribune article about the merger agreement between Cooper University Health Care and Cape Regional Health.
• Research by Eva Goldfarb and Lisa Lieberman (Public Health) is cited in this WBEZ Chicago story about one school’s approach to comprehensive sex education that sparked controversy.
