Montclair to Launch Realigned Academic Calendar in 2025
The University will move to a three-term model – with a full term in the summer in addition to traditional spring and fall terms – to increase flexible learning options and ensure each student has an optimal path to completing a degree.

Montclair Enhances Mental Health Support with New Zen Dens
The new “Zen Dens” will provide students with spaces to relax and de-stress, strengthening the University’s commitment to student mental health.

- Concerned about a student’s well-being? Please fill out a CARE Report form to connect students to mental health support and resources. Faculty and advisors can complete an alert via Navigate for academic concerns.

Procurement Services Update
- The University requires departments to purchase from contracted vendors for several goods and services. View the active supplier contracts page for more information.
- Printing and photocopying suppliers have changed. Please be sure you are utilizing the correct contracts below:
- UNC # 1591 – Digital Printing & Photocopying – In conjunction with University Communications and Marketing, a contract has been awarded to KM Media Group LLC dba One Source Solutions for digital printing and photocopying, binding, and specialty services. These services were previously with Studio 042. Please find 1591 Digital Printing & Photocopying Job Aid for additional information. In addition, the University will be working towards a punchout catalog for this supplier and will advise the community when this implementation is completed.
- UNC # 1595 – Custom Printing Services – In conjunction with University Communications and Marketing, contracts have been awarded to 4 suppliers for custom printing services ,including flyers, posters, brochures, newsletters, envelopes, finishing services, and more. Please find 1595 Custom Printing Services Job Aid for additional information.

- To Laura Quiros (Social Work and Child Advocacy), who worked as a trauma-informed consultant on Patrice: The Movie. The film will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sunday September 9th. Patrice: The Movie will air on Hulu at the end of this month.
- To George Antoniou (School of Computing), who has been named a Top Scholar by ScholarGPS which recognizes scholars for their outstanding performance in various fields, disciplines, and specialties. Dr. Antoniou’s strong publication record, the impact of his work, and the notable quality of his scholarly contributions have placed him in the top 0.5% of all scholars worldwide.
- To Tammy Castro (Computer and Mathematical Sciences, BCMSU), who was inducted into the 2024 New Jersey Class of I CAN STEM Role Models in August by the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network.
- To Weitan Wang (School of Computing), who received a National Science Foundation Career Award to advance human-robot collaboration. This project is supported by a 2024 NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award which is the foundation’s most prestigious award.
Retirement Announcement
After 32 years of service to Montclair State University, Dr. Jennifer Robinson has retired as of September 1. Under her leadership as the Executive Director for the past 20 years, the Center of Pedagogy has produced thousands of highly-qualified teachers for New Jersey’s schools. If you would like to honor Dr. Robinson’s career and accomplishments, please share your well wishes here.
