Upcoming Events
- Campus Recreation invites employees and their guests to Montclair State University Day at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, September 23. With ticket purchase, attendees will receive a Yankees cap with the Montclair hawk logo, a hot dog and a drink. Transportation will not be provided.
- The American Red Cross will conduct a blood drive on campus on Monday, September 25. Click here to schedule an appointment.
- Join faculty as they discuss their issues of representation, support, identity, belonging and bias. Hispanic/ Latino/a/e Heritage Month and Beyond: A Faculty Panel will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, September 27, at 10 a.m.
- Occupational Health Services is partnering with Atlantic Health System to provide mammography screenings on Tuesday, September 26. Transportation will be provided to and from the appointment, with pick up at Blanton Hall, Lot 17. The shuttle will depart at 12 p.m. and return at 2 p.m. Atlantic Health System will coordinate costs with your insurance. Participants will receive a boxed lunch. - The Red Hawk Pantry is accepting donations of reusable shopping bags until September 29. Donation bins are located in the Student Center Annex, Room 113; Cole Hall, Center for Community Engagement, Room 348; and the Overlook Corporate Center, 3rd floor, front desk.
- Homecoming 2023 is Saturday, September 30! With food, music, student performances, a street fair and the Homecoming football game, it’s a day not to miss. Visit the Homecoming website to register and find more information.

University Communications and Marketing invites staff to participate in two new initiatives:
- The Website Overhaul Project. Montclair has partnered with OHO Interactive for this project, and as a starting point, OHO and UCM are gathering ideas and perspectives from across the University. Please complete this survey to share your impressions of the website along with ideas for improvement. All answers will remain confidential.
- Internal Communications Project. Staff and faculty are invited to participate in focus groups and individual interviews to share thoughts and insights on current communication channels specific to employee communications. - EMS has installed hemorrhage/bleeding control kits and Narcan in Automated External Defibrillator (AED) cabinets on campus and is offering training sessions on how to use the hemorrhage control and Narcan kits. If you or your department would like to participate in these training sessions, contact EMS at 973-655-7836 or ems@montclair.edu.
- Visit the Volunteer Center’s updated site for ongoing volunteer opportunities through the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Faculty and staff are eligible to purchase the new $300 per semester flexible spending meal plan and receive $50 flex dollars each semester. The plan can be used at all campus dining venues, vending machines and convenience stores. Pay by payroll deduction, cash, check or credit card.

- The Employee Assistance Program provides free, confidential support services for employees and their families – including locating resources for substance abuse, mental health and self-help. For more information, view the CONCERN brochure.
