• Ruth Propper (Psychology) was interviewed by BBC London’s Sunny and Shay about her picture book, What Kind of Scientist Can a Girl Be? (The interview starts at 1 hour and 44 minutes into the program.)
• Jason Williams (Justice Studies) offered commentary to NJ Spotlight News and NorthJersey.com (subscriber only) for their coverage of the state Attorney General’s takeover of the Paterson police department. He is also quoted in this NJ Spotlight News article about how the Paterson community is working to heal following the killing of Najee Seabrooks.
• Pebbles the Pupscot was a hit with the folks from News12 New Jersey.
• Several outlets including NorthJersey.com, News 12 New Jersey and Montclair Local reported on the recent Women’s History Month celebration and Trailblazer Awards held at Montclair. The event featured a keynote address by Hillary Clinton.
• John Smallwood (Biology) is quoted in this Audubon article about what is causing the decline of the American Kestrel.

• President Koppell’s Spring Town Hall Meeting will be held Wednesday, April 19, 3-4 p.m.
• April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The nonprofit organization Text Power Telling is offering a writing workshop aimed at providing a safe space for survivors of sexual trauma to practice writing as a transformative and healing process. Register to reserve a spot for the Faculty, Staff and Community Session, Thursday, April 20, 5-7 p.m. Space is limited. • This year, we will have three Commencement exercises at Prudential Center in Newark on May 23. If you are a volunteer staff member working the event or a faculty or staff member participating in the processional, please follow those links to register. • You now have access to print and download your 2022 W-2 form in Workday.
• The Employee Assistance Program provides free, confidential support services for University employees and their families – including locating resources for substance abuse, mental health and self-help. For more information, see the attached CONCERN brochure.
• Worried about a student’s well-being? Please refer them to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
• If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988, the new nationwide 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for free, confidential support, 24/7.
