Boards Approve ‘Innovative Partnership’
A year after Bloomfield College publicly announced it was seeking strategic partnerships, the boards of Bloomfield and Montclair officially approve the creation of “Bloomfield College of Montclair State University.”
Montclair Moves Up
The University’s reputation is growing, and the leading higher education rankings reflect that. The University recently rose in rankings from both U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly.

- News of our merger plans with Bloomfield College was covered by outlets including NJ.com, NJBIZ, ROI-NJ, News12, POLITICO, NJ Spotlight News and New Jersey Business Magazine. President Koppell was also featured by ROI-NJ in a separate story highlighting the merger.
- U.S. News & World Report ranked Montclair No. 1008 on its list of top 2000 universities in the world for academic research and reputation – up 159 spots from last year.
