Just in time for fall, a new study by School of Communication and Media faculty members used social media analytics to gather information on how consumers feel about pumpkin-spice products. Here’s what they found.

• To Jennifer Yang (Psychology) who received the Administrative Supplements to Recognize Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Mentorship Grant from the National Institute of Health.
• To Pankaj Lal and the research team at Clean Energy and Sustainability Analytics Center for winning a state Offshore Wind Research Monitoring Initiative grant to assess the potential impacts of offshore wind energy on New Jersey’s recreational fishing industry.
• To the faculty and staff of School of Communication and Media for kicking off the fifth year of their successful mentoring program this month and to the SCM mentors of this year’s 20 student mentees.
• To the Office of Civic and Voter Engagement staff for a successful National Voter Registration Day, where they registered more than 100 voters and secured 129 pledges to vote in the midterms. Help Montclair in its quest to win NJ Secretary of State’s Ballot Bowl by taking the pledge to vote.
• To Dean Danianne Mizzy and the Harry A. Sprague Library team for helping Montclair join the The Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation, which gives the University access to a shared catalog containing more than 46 million items in library collections owned by partnering institutions.
