- From April 19-21, the Sociology Department and the MA in Social Research and Analysis program is holding its second annual networking conference, Creating Spaces. The event is open to all.
- Handshake is coming. On Monday, May 16, Montclair moves to Handshake, a new online hub for jobs, internships, career-advising appointments, career events, resources and more. Find more information here.
- The Community Service & Internship Fair is on Friday, April 8, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. All faculty, staff and students are welcome. RSVP is not required, but welcomed. Walk-ins will be accepted.
Kudos
- To Educational Opportunity Fund Director Rahjaun Gordon ’21 PhD and staff who hosted 86 EOF scholars on campus at the Inaugural Statewide Men’s Conference, held to support scholars from universities across the state in their personal and career goals.
- To all involved in fixing the carillon in Cole Hall. After a few weeks of silence due to a faulty system, the carillon in Cole Hall is ringing again thanks to staff in University Facilities and the Cali School with a new rendition of the alma mater.
- To the Department of Political Science and Law for launching its new Policy Studies major, during an event attended by New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin.
- To Lap-Pun Lam, who started this week as our new director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. Welcome, Dr. Lam.
