- Elizabeth Wishnick (Political Science and Law) co-wrote an analysis for The Washington Post on how Ukraine is testing the limits of China and Russia’s partnership.
- Cortni Borgerson (Anthropology) was interviewed by BBC Sounds about her work in Madagascar and how she – and other science experts – are using bugs “to help save the planet.”
- Sara Goldstein (Family Science and Human Development) was quoted in this Miami Herald opinion piece about the lifting of mask mandates and mask bullying in schools.
- David Galef (English) penned a satirical opinion piece for Inside Higher Ed proposing ways to make the English major more viable.
- Emily Douglas (Social Work and Child Advocacy) is quoted in this Virginia Mercury article about safe haven laws.
- Jazmin Reyes-Portillo (Psychology) and Carrie Masia-Warner (Psychology) were quoted and interviewed by NJ 101.5 about their study on the impact of COVID-19 on college students. Masia-Warner was also interviewed for an NJ Spotlight News segment about the impact of the pandemic on college students.
- Stephanie Silvera (Public Health) is quoted in this NJ.com story about how experts are worried about residents in the state who are unlikely to receive further inoculations against COVID-19. She also spoke to WBGO about the end of Governor Murphy’s COVID briefings, and again to NJ.com about “stealth omicron” cases appearing in New Jersey.
- Charles Feldman (Nutrition and Food Studies) and his recently founded New Jersey Policy Think Tank for the food and restaurant industry were highlighted in the latest issue of Total Food Service, a digital industry publication.
- POLITICO published an article about the advancement of a bill to change the law that made the University responsible for operating the New Jersey School of Conservation. NorthJersey.com also published an article on the topic.
- NJ.com published a list of the New Jersey projects that will get funding from the federal government’s $1.5 trillion spending bill. Montclair State University will receive $400,000 that will go toward an education program on harmful algal blooms.
