Dance College 2016 Featured in “Broadway World” and “The Montclair Dispatch”
Posted in: Announcements
Dance Collage, an annual dance extravaganza presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance, delivers an unforgettable concert featuring choreography by students in the Dance program. The performance also includes pieces choreographed by Prof. Christian von Howard, faculty member Jessica Dimauro, and visiting guest artist Pat Graney.
Premiering on April 27th and running through May 1st, the show is a culmination of students’ semester-long work and a debut showcase of their choreography skills. A majority of the pieces were created with modern dance approaches, with the exception of a tap dance piece by junior Dance major Daniel Paderna, who shared his inspiration about the work in an article in Broadwayworld.com, which highlighted the concert series.
The Montclair Dispatch heralded the concert, calling it “unique from all the others,” as a show which “greatly prepares dance majors for what the performance world will be like after they graduate.”
Dance Collage 2016 is presented in the Alexander Kasser Theater, through May 1st. Please visit Peak Perfs for show times and ticket information.
