The program features weekly visits of filmmakers who come to speak about their work and profession. The series, open to both University students and the general public, welcomes audience questions while being a unique forum to hear inside stories from some of the most innovative filmmakers working in the field today.

Nanfu Wang is a Chinese-born American filmmaker. Her debut film Hooligan Sparrow premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and was shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2017. Her latest film, One Child Nation, won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. SCREENING: "One Child Nation"

Avril Z. Speaks has over eighteen years of experience as a filmmaker to include credits as a producer, writer, director, and editor. She earned her M.F.A. in Film Directing from Columbia University in New York City, her B.S. from the University of Maryland in African American Studies and studied film production at Howard University. Isabel Sandovar is a New York-based Filipino filmmaker. She has produced, written and directed two full-length features, including the Filipino-language Señorita (2011), which premiered in competition at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and was nominated for Best Picture by the Young Critics Circle of the Philippines.
