Corrections to the ’24-’25 FAFSA Can Be Made Now!
Did You Make a Mistake or Get an Error Message on Your FAFSA?
Posted in: Announcements, Featured News, Red Hawk Central
What Can I Do?
If you made a mistake or left information off of your FAFSA or you received your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) with an error message, you and your parent(s)/step-parent or spouse can make corrections to the FAFSA for the 2024-25 year.
Typical errors include:
- Missing signatures (student and/or parent(s))
- Not providing consent for the IRS Direct Data Exchange (DDX)
- Indicating your parents are unwilling to provide their information on the FAFSA
- This answer limits you to only unsubsidized loans – no grant or scholarship funding
Please Note: There may be pauses on the system for corrections; return to the FAFSA later to complete your corrections
What Will Happen When I Update My FAFSA?
- Your FAFSA changes will be re-processed in 3-5 days.
- You will receive an email with the revised FAFSA.
- The college(s) you list on the FAFSA will receive your corrected FAFSA.
