Be a step ahead of the crowd! Learning to speak a new language and about a different culture not only gives you future employment benefits, but also personal ones!
Beyond the world languages and cultures requirement students must complete, you can immerse yourself in a new language and culture through play, conversation and exploration.
What’s Available?
Entry level 3-credit 101 sections are open to all students. You don’t need to commit to a major/minor (unless you want to!) and if a you have already taken one language you can always add more to your collection! We offer classes in:
- Arabic
- Chinese
- French
- German
- Hebrew
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Russian

NJ is the 4th most diverse state in the country, 225 world companies have US Headquarters in NJ, and Forbes magazine says that adding a language can improve salary and career opportunities.
World languages on a transcript tells future employers that the applicant is curious, culturally flexible, invested in diversity, ready to adapt and eager to explore new global challenges.
