The Importance of Internships
Internships are powerful platforms for gaining practical experiences and growing professional networks, often serving as a stepping stone to full-time employment within the organization. They are also great resume builders and allow students to explore career paths firsthand. In a recent survey of over 280 organizations, The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) discussed the value of internships. Their data showed that 50-60 percent of interns transitioned into full-time employees within their companies. These numbers were partially attributed to these interns having prior training and institutional knowledge, which can lead to a smoother transition. Find a Co-op or Internship.
