Posted in: Uncategorized
Both the state and federal governments have ended their public health emergencies, so the University will be updating our COVID-19 policies on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
What Is Changing?
Some of the highlights of what will change as of May 11 include:
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccinations will only be required for residential students and Residence Life staff who live on campus. (Please Note: Some students, such as those who participate in clinical rotations or certain other activities, may need to be vaccinated. You will be informed if this applies to you.)
- Hawk Check: Members of the campus community will no longer be required to complete a daily Hawk Check of COVID-19 symptoms or exposures.
- Testing: Webster Hall COVID-19 testing center will close. Students will still be able to receive COVID testing via the Student Health Center by appointment: 973-655-3459.
What’s Not Changing?
- Students who are experiencing symptoms should call the Student Health Center at 973-655-3459 to be evaluated and schedule a COVID test.
- Wearing of masks is up to individual preferences.
- Masks will still be requested in clinical areas
