Winter Coat Drive

Donate gently used coats as payment for campus citations! Each coat item will be worth one open citation.

It’s cold out there! And some are in need of a coat this winter. Have any extra laying around? Donate them! The best part? It will relieve one citation with Parking Services.

The Details

Duration: The program runs Monday, December 9 through Friday, December 13, 2024.

When & Where to Bring: Please bring any donations Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. to the Montclair campus Parking office located on Level 1 of the Red Hawk Deck.

We will have tabled events hosted from:

  • Monday, December 9: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Montclair campus, Student Center 2nd Floor Lobby
  • Tuesday, December 10: 12-3 p.m., Bloomfield campus, Parking Office – 229 Liberty Street
  • Wednesday, December 11: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Montclair campus, Blanton Hall, Red Hawk Pantry
  • Thursday, December 12: 12-3 p.m., Montclair campus, Student Center, 2nd Floor Lobby
  • Friday, December 13: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Montclair campus, Student Center, 2nd Floor Lobby

BONUS: Get 2 citations removed on Red Hawk Pantry tabling dates!

How Does the Donation Work?

  • One gently used coat item is worth one open citation.
  • For example, a citation worth $60.00 may be paid using (1) coat.

What to Donate

YES

  • Gently used winter coats and jackets

NO

  • Items with rips, stains, or missing buttons/zippers
  • Damaged or non-functional zippers

The following citations may not be dismissed as part of the program:

  • Tampering with University Equipment
  • Shared Permit or Boot Violation
  • Parking in Reserved Space, Grass, or Sidewalk
  • Parked in Fire Lane or PWD Space Violation
