Shuttle Bus Information

Our shuttle service is designed to provide accessible, convenient, and reliable transportation. With a fleet of 17 vehicles, including buses equipped with wheelchair lifts, we ensure that all campus areas and nearby locations are easily reachable. The shuttle routes cover major campus destinations and off-campus connections, with frequent service throughout the week. Real-time tracking via the TripShot app enhances user experience, allowing you to plan your travel efficiently.

Montclair / Bloomfield Shuttle Service!

Beginning the first day of school, shuttles will now run on a 30-minute loop to and from the Montclair and Bloomfield campuses, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.! This free service will pick up and drop off at the Red Hawk Deck (Montclair) and 225 Liberty (Bloomfield), seamlessly getting you between our two campuses!

Night Hawk On-demand Shuttle Services

Introducing Night Hawk, the new on-demand shuttle service designed to get you where you need to go safely and quickly Tuesday – Saturday, 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. No more waiting around at night! Just request a ride through the Tripshot app, where you can also get around-the-clock live updates on shuttle locations, ETAs, routes and more. Whether you’re heading back from a late class, a study session or hanging out with friends, Night Hawk has you covered. Enjoy the convenience and peace of mind as you move around campus after hours!

Shopper Shuttles

Need groceries and don’t have a car? Want to go watch a movie, grab a bite off campus or shop at target? Hop on a Shopper Shuttle!

• Wednesdays: ShopRite of Little Falls Shuttle – runs every Wednesday during the regular semester from the Red Hawk Deck between 12-3 p.m., every hour. The final return shuttle will leave from ShopRite at 4 p.m.
• Saturdays: Clifton Commons Shuttle – runs every Saturday during the regular semester (except on Thanksgiving weekend) from the Red Hawk Deck between 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. It will make stops at Target and Stop & Shop!

Fixed Route Shuttle Operations

Our Fixed Route Shuttles operate Monday – Friday, 6 a.m. – 1 a.m., with buses running every 8-15 minutes on average. On weekends, Fixed Route service is available from 8 a.m. – 1 a.m.

Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Shuttle

Complimentary curb-to-curb transportation service for short-term/temporary conditions or injuries and chronic conditions. This service operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Students who require on-campus transportation must complete the Red Hawk Access Request Form.

Students with supporting documentation from a medical or mental health provider can receive authorization from the Disability Resource Center. The Student Health Center also provides authorization for students treated by them for short-term/temporary injuries.

Service must then be arranged with Transportation & Parking Services at least 48 hours before the requested date of transportation. To arrange services, contact 973-655-3326 or shuttle@montclair.edu. Requests are honored on a first come, first served basis.
