You’re Invited!

It is my honor to invite all of you to Montclair State University’s official installation of Dr. Jonathan Koppell, our University’s 9th President on Thursday, September 15. This formal confirmation of Dr. Koppell as president will be both a traditional academic ceremony, as well as a celebration of his successful first year at the helm of our University.

Join the Celebration

Students are highly encouraged to attend a number of events on this day, including:

• The Investiture of President Koppell will begin at 12 p.m. at the Amphitheater.
  • Come dressed in red Montclair State attire to show your enthusiasm as a Red Hawk!
  • After this short event, the President and dignitaries will proceed to Memorial Auditorium, for the formal Investiture ceremony. Due to space limitations, students are invited to view it via livestream at a Watch Party in the Student Center, and lunch will be provided.
• A Campus Festival that will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the Alumni Green (in front of Cole Hall) including musical performances.
• A campus-wide reception immediately following the ceremony, outside of Memorial Auditorium.

In order to make it easier for students to attend, classes will not be held on Thursday, September 15. They will be made up on Wednesday, November 30.

This is a landmark time in the history of Montclair State University and a once-in-a-student lifetime opportunity to experience a presidential investiture!

I am extremely excited to share this day with you!  It will be a wonderful way to show the world what it means to celebrate being a Red Hawk!
