MSU Cares about you! We do! We are a community that cares for one another and each and every one of you matters.
Here are resources when you’re feeling sad, stressed, afraid and/or find yourself dealing with other life stuff. You are never alone!
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) has counselors available 24/7, seven days a week. You can speak to someone after hours (including nights, weekends, holiday breaks and during weather closings). For mental health support, call 973-655-5211. After hours, select option 2.

Another option for support is the CARE Report Form. The reports are viewed by the CARE Team that serves Montclair State University, an interdisciplinary group of professionals across campus that can connect students to resources and solutions. A live professional who is well-trained reaches out to connect and offer help.
Any community member (students, employee, staff, faculty) is able to submit a CARE Report Form if they are concerned about the behavior of a student or have any other concern. CARE Reports can also be sent directly by emailing CARETeam@montclair.edu.
We encourage reporting. Tell us what is happening. You won’t get in trouble.
We encourage people in our community to submit a report when they are concerned about another community member. There are never negative consequences for people who make reports or those who are identified as a person of concern.
CARE Reports can include concerns regarding any of the following: housing or food insecurity, family distress, academic problems, mental health concerns or anything else that is causing challenges for a member of our community.
