COVID Case Report: Week Ending September 10, 2020

Here is the weekly report of confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the Montclair State University campus for the week ending Thursday, September 10:

There has been one new confirmed case of COVID-19 reported on campus. It is a student who takes online courses but was on campus on Wednesday, September 2 to participate in a study group with three other students. All are in quarantine and doing well.

This new case brings the total number of confirmed cases on campus since the start of the fall semester to four (three students, one employee).University Health Center Director Patricia Ruiz recommends that all members of the campus community continue to follow the general safeguards to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, including wearing face coverings, observing social distancing, practicing good hand hygiene and completing the daily Hawk Check self-screening application before coming to the campus.
