Spanish and Latino Studies Department’s Sigma Delta Phi Now an Honor Chapter

Only 10 out of 618 Sigma Delta Pi chapters of the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society are distinguished as “honor chapters” nationwide and now Montclair State’s own chapter will be among them.

In recognition of this honor for its outstanding activities, MSU received a certificate and a monetary gift to help support their projects, courtesy of Vista Higher Learning. “Congratulations to you and your fine group of students for this year’s impressive achievement,” noted Mark Del Maestro, Executive Director, Sigma Delta Pi, Hispanic Studies, College of Charleston, in a letter to the chapter’s 2017-18 adviser, Dr. Antonella Calarota-Ninman, Spanish Program Coordinator.
