Spanish Honor Society 2019 Induction

Eighteen more Spanish majors and minors have joined Montclair State’s Chapter Delta Chi, the local chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the 100-year-old National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society (La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica).

The 2019 inductees are Sandy Alvarez, Skarlet Baiza, Jessica Canales Duarte, Maria Correa, Ashley Ell, Ashly Espinoza, Jennifer Gutierrez, Charlie Lopez, Pamela Lopez, Josmary Medina, Raiza Menendez, Colleen O’Rourke Heredia, Ashely Palacios, Yurany Restrepo, Ivonne Reyes, Samantha Rodriguez, Cheryln Sayles and Regina Marisol Walenza.

The event also served as an opportunity to announce the Spanish and Latino Studies Department’s scholarship winners which included Skarlet Baiza, Karen Cruz, Ashley Ell, Jennifer Guiterrez, Emily Ip, Riley Layne, Christine Marroquin, Josmary Medina, Cristina Moricete, Nely Reyes, Stephanie Soriano and Darra Truesdale.
