New College of the Arts’ Dean, Daniel Gurskis, Interviewed on “Carpe Diem”

For Dan Gurskis, newly appointed dean of Montclair State University’s College of the Arts, the study of the arts is a life-long pursuit. Gurskis talks about his wealth of experience and plans for future development of the college during an in-depth interview on Carpe Diem, the weekly televised news magazine produced by the students, faculty and staff of the Television and Digital Media program, that has been cablecast in northern and central New Jersey for almost 20 years.

Gurskis arrived at Montclair State last summer from Brooklyn College where he was a professor and chair of the Department of Film and special assistant to the president. Gurskis has held creative and management positions in film, television, theatre and advertising. He’s an Emmy Award winner and has written screenplays for film and television. Gurskis was interviewed by Marc Rosenweig, assistant professor of Television and Digital Media at Montclair State.
