Open House for Montclair State’s School of Communication and Media Set for Sunday, November 13

Montclair State University and the School of Communication and Media will host an undergraduate open house for prospective students and their families on Sunday, November 13. SCM has one of the best communication and media programs in the country, offering six undergraduate majors in a beautiful, state-of-the-art building.
Here is Sunday’s schedule with the presentation times for each program. All sessions will take place in Presentation Hall in the School of Communication and Media building. Faculty and current students will share their experiences about their respective programs.
Journalism and Digital Media (9:30-9:55 a.m.)
Sports Communication (10:05-10:30 a.m.)
Social Media and Public Relations and Advertising (10:40-11:05 a.m.)
Animation and Visual Effects (11:15 11:40 a.m.)
Communication and Media Studies (11:50 a.m-12:15 p.m.)
Film and Television and Filmmaking (12:25-12:50 p.m.)
Students and their families can also tour the building and the School’s state-of-the-art facilities, and learn more about SCM’s clubs and award-winning organizations including WMSC 90.3 FM (radio station), The Montclarion (newspaper), Hawk Communications (strategic communications agency), Red Hawk Sports Network (covering 18 varsity sports), News Lab (digital news outlet), Hawk+ (digital streaming service), Joetta DiBella and Fred C. Sauter III Center for Strategic Communication (Social Media and Data Analytics Center) and Public Relations Student Society of America chapter.
