TIME magazine included Montclair State University Professor David Sanders of the School of Communication and Media on a list of “teaching stars” in the article, “The Hottest Seats in Class.” TIME compiled the unofficial list by surveying students to find the most popular professors on campuses throughout the country.

Sanders made the list for his work with students and with the Audio/Sound Design program at Montclair State, a program he designed and coordinates. He was also recognized for taking five students to Tunisia and Jordan last year to produce a one-hour webcast called Arab Spring that aired last April. Sanders is in good company, with professors from Harvard, Yale, Brown and Stanford also highlighted in the article.

“I am thrilled for the recognition and for the attention it draws to the innovative programs and projects we are doing in the School of Communication and Media to educate true global citizens,” Sanders says. “Of course, at the end of the day, it is our terrific students and alumni that make it all so fun and rewarding.”
