Save the Date — Communication Studies Alumni Gathering May 10

Special private show will be followed by networking reception

Posted in: School of Communication and Media News

Alumni of Montclair State’s Communication Studies Department are invited to an exclusive gathering on Thursday, May 10. This is a great opportunity to catch up with fellow alumni, see some of your favorite professors, and witness how the department and College of the Arts has grown. The evening will include a special private show featuring mentalist Manlow and magician Baltus, followed by an alumni reception.  Admission is free and will take place in the Howard Fox Theater on campus beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Following the performance, alumni will have the opportunity to network with classmates and reunite with faculty members they may not have seen since graduation. Many of the department’s faculty members are scheduled to attend, including Wayne Bond, Christine Lemesianou, Todd Kelshaw, and Larry Weiner.

With the recent announcement that the University’s Board of Trustees has approved the creation of a new School of Communication and Media, this is a very exciting time for the department. In September 2012, the Communication Studies Department will join with the Broadcasting and Filmmaking departments to comprise Montclair State University’s new School of Communication and Media.  For more information about the new school, click here.

For more information about the gathering, contact Jenna Peraino (’11 MA) or, via the telephone, at 973-655-7872. Check your email inbox for a formal invitation along with registration information in the coming months.  Refreshments will be served.  Help spread the word to your classmates and friends.
