These instructions are offered as a general guideline; refer to your TV’s manual for specific instructions. Your TV must support a coax connection and a QAM digital TV tuner. Most major brand televisions manufactured after 2006 meet this requirement. Please visit our Television Compatibility web page for more information.
Connect your TV to the wall jack using a coaxial cable you must supply. If the TV has more than one input connector, select the one which is typically labeled “CABLE IN”, “CATV”, “ANTENNA” or sometimes “RF IN”.
Method 1: Analog cable & digital cable – Internal QAM tuner
- Connect one end of the coax cable into the wall jack and the other end to the TV.
- Set the TV to CABLE or CATV.
- This setting is normally located in the menu or set-up option, however, it varies depending on the TV make and model.
- Run a channel scan.

Method 2: Digital cable – external QAM tuner
- Connect one end of the coax cable into the wall jack and the other end into the external QAM tuner.
- Connect the external QAM tuner to the TV.

After completing these steps, you should be able to use the channel up/down feature of your TV and remote. If you don’t perform the auto program or scan function, you should still be able to directly tune channels by entering channel number and “-1” (dash one). For example “10-1”.
See the channel guide for information about the available channels.
