The Freedom of Religion or Belief: Framework, Implementation, and Challenges

On Wednesday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. in University Hall Room 1020 on the campus of Montclair State University, Faraz Sanei, J.D. will deliver a lecture on freedom of religion and belief. He is a Visiting Instructor of Clinical Law and Telford Taylor Teaching Fellow at Cardozo Law School, former legal advisor to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief and was the Iran and Gulf researcher at Human Rights Watch.
Featured in major news outlets, such as the New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, CNN and Al Jazeera, his lecture will provide the normative framework for the right to freedom of religion or belief in international law, discuss the legal regime pushing for its implementation, and explore some of the most pressing issues and challenges preventing its full realization.
