Maria Dolan – Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service

Congratulations to Maria Dolan. On Sunday, May 22, 2016 she was presented with one of the Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service Awards during the Social Sciences Convocation ceremony. The award recognizes students who embody the intellectual values of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Dolan, a continuous Dean’s List student, has a cumulative GPA of 3.96 and will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
Dolan is a member of both Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She was also a proud member of the cheer team here at Montclair State.
Outside of Montclair State, Dolan has volunteered at an elementary school in West Orange, working in a first grade classroom. She has also volunteered at her high school’s various fundraising events, and currently works at Speech and Hearing office in New Jersey.
After graduation, Dolan plans to pursue a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology so that she can work in with children with speech disorders and one day open up a private practice.
