Erin Kang (Assistant Professor of Psychology) received 2022 Brain & Behavior Research Foundation Young Investigator Grant, in collaboration with Dr. Carrie Masia (Professor of Psychology). The goal of the Young Investigator program is to help researchers launch careers in neuroscience and psychiatry and gather pilot data to apply for larger grants, and enable promising investigators to begin careers as independent research faculty. This two-year grant will support Dr. Kang’s work investigating underlying neural mechanism of cognitive inflexibility and anxiety symptoms in youth on the autism spectrum, under the mentorship of senior collaborators, Drs. Carrie Masia and Michael Milham, who have an established expertise in youth anxiety disorders and cognitive neuroscience, respectively.
