B.A. in Russian, Drew University
M.A. in Slavic Literature, University of California - Berkeley
Ph.D. in History, Drew University
Jessica manages curriculum development and academic planning for CHSS. She also oversees data management for the College, and the Pre-Law program for the university.
Her research focuses on transnational media during the Cold War, with a chapter on surrogate radio and the reading/listening audience, published in The Edinburgh History of Reading: Subversive Readers (Edinburgh UP, 2020). Additional work looks at Snoopy as Cold War hero in a chapter in Peanuts and American Culture: Essays on Charles M. Schulz’s Iconic Comic Strip (McFarland, 2019). Her interests further include the intersection of public radio and middlebrow culture. She teaches European, Russian, and Cold War history, and Russian language.
