Are teachers from charter schools eligible to apply?
Yes, as long as it is a public charter in New Jersey.
Can more than one teacher from the same school apply?
Yes! We would welcome more than one teacher from a school or district.
Am I required to attend the entire summer institute?
Yes, attendance is required. Attending the full summer institute, on August 27th, 28th and 29th, 2024, is necessary to be able to participate fully in subsequent fellowship activities throughout the school year.
Am I required to attend all monthly follow-up sessions?
Yes, attendance is required.
Can I apply if I do not teach middle school science?
No, this year’s fellowship focuses on an innovation that is applicable to grades 3-8 math and 6-8 science.
What if I am a coach that has responsibility for a variety of grades, including some in 6-8?
In order to be eligible for this fellowship you must be able to implement the Balancing Acts to classes you are working with.
