Vice President Donna McMonagle Will Leave Montclair in March

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am writing to share the news that Vice President for Finance and Treasurer Donna McMonagle has been chosen as the next Chief Financial Officer at Seton Hall University. Her last day at the University will be March 18.

Since joining Montclair State University in 2018, Donna has played a key role in strategic leadership of the University’s financial position, ensuring both flexibility and sustainability for the future. Under her stewardship, the Finance division successfully navigated the challenges of the pandemic, including oversight of substantial federal pandemic relief funds and various critical contract negotiations, implemented a socially responsible investment strategy for the University’s investment portfolio, and continued to improve operational efficiency across the division.

The University will conduct a national search for Donna’s replacement. I will be announcing a transition plan prior to her departure.
