The Sports Communication Pre-college Summer Program will introduce students to a range of exciting topics and career opportunities in the world of sports and media. The program is designed to give students opportunities to learn about and gain hands-on experience in sports production and broadcasting, content creation, sports reporting, and sports public relations.
Students will learn from Montclair faculty and guest speakers with real world experience in the sports communication industry. Using our University’s state-of-the-art digital studios and equipment, students will also have the opportunity to produce content and build their resume with a series of team-based projects. Finally, as part of the week’s programming, students will take a field trip to a local sports venue to understand the intricacies of sports media careers in practice. In all, we look forward to welcoming students to Montclair, just 12 miles from the sports media capital of the world, for an in-depth experience that will prepare them for their future studies in the field of sports communication.
