Join us for a weekend filled with fun, connection and special moments as you experience campus life. Whether it’s your family’s first visit or returning, we can’t wait to welcome you!

Weekend Schedule
From exciting campus activities to athletic events and delicious dining options, there’s something for everyone to enjoy—all right here on Montclair’s campus! Some events may require additional registration. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out at redhawknews@montclair.edu or 973-655-3288. Remember: ONLY family members and guests are required to register. Students are free to enter with their Montclair ID.
Friday, April 25
- 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Visit the University Bookstore, Student Center, 1st Floor.
- 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. – College of the Arts Office Hours, Life Hall, Room 2203A.
- Dr. Elizabeth McPherson, Head of the Dance Division of the Department of Theatre and Dance, will be available to meet parents and answer any questions about the Dance Division.
- 10:30-11 a.m. – Sprague Library Tour, Sprague Library, Lobby.
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Academic Year Recap & Lunch, University Hall, Room 1070. Registration Required!
- Join us for an overview of the academic year! Hear from campus leaders, including the VP of Student Development and Campus Life, updates from Career Services, University College and the Degree Completion Program. Plus, A Flavor Flight with Gourmet Dining in the Waichungo Family Courtyard!
- 1-3 p.m. – Montclair State University Fifth Annual Korean Day, Center for Environmental & Life Science, Back Patio.
- Interactive cultural stations and a delicious Korean street food festival!
- 1:30-2 p.m. – Sprague Library Tour, Sprague Library, Lobby.
- Join us for an engaging overview of the library’s spaces, resources and services, helping visitors navigate everything from study areas to research support. We look forward to sharing the great things our library has to offer your student!
- 1:30-3 p.m. – Coloring Station & Blanket Making, Student Center, Ballroom C. Bonus Meet Pebbles the Pupscot!
- 1:30-3:30 p.m. – Commuter Life Field Day, Student Center, Quad.
- 2-3 p.m. – Learn about Winter & Summer Sessions at their info table, Student Center, 2nd Floor Lobby.
- 2:30-3 p.m. – Sprague Library Tour, Sprague Library, Lobby.
- 3 & 5 p.m. (rescheduled) – Softball Double Header vs. Rowan University, Montclair Softball Stadium. Free for all.
- 3:30 p.m. – Baseball vs. Rutgers-Camden, Yogi Berra Stadium. Purchase your tickets at the stadium at $6.00 for adults; $3.00 for non-Monclair student and senior citizens.
- Check out The Hill and enjoy a beverage while watching the game!
- 3:30-4 p.m. – Sprague Library Tour, Sprague Library, Lobby.
- 5-7 p.m. – Family Swim Night, Student Recreation Center, Pool.
- 5-5:45 p.m. – Montclair Campus History Tour, Outside of Kasser Theater.
- 6-10 p.m. – Spring Swing: BBQ, Games, Fire Pits, S’mores & Outdoor Movie, Student Center, Quad.
- Outdoor Fire Pit: 7-9 p.m.
- Outdoor Movie: 8-10 p.m.
- 7:30 p.m. – Dance Like Nobody’s Watching by Thomas McCauley, Alexander Kasser Theater.
Saturday, April 26
We’ve partnered with Express Yourself to showcase some of the incredible creativity happening on campus during Family Weekend! A few highlights are listed below, but you can explore the full lineup on their Engage page.
- 10-11 a.m. – Express Yourself: Home Reimagined: Identity, Family, and Belonging, Dickson Hall, Cohen Lounge (Room 178).
- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Visit the University Bookstore, Student Center, 1st Floor.
- 10:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. – Cars on the Quad, Student Center, Quad.
- 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Red Hawk Life Panel & Brunch, University Hall, 7th Floor Conference Center. Registration Required!
- Kick back with brunch and join the Red Hawk Life Panel for a fun, laid-back chat about campus life, insider tips, and what it really means to be a Red Hawk all while enjoying some brunch!
- 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Express Yourself: Explore your World: Voices from Bolivia, Feliciano School of Business, Room 140.
- 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Express Yourself: The Human Library, University Hall, Addie’s Lounge and Waichungo Courtyard.
- 12-1 p.m. – Coloring Station & Mascot Hang, Student Center, The Underground.
- 1 p.m. – Women’s Lacrosse, Sprague Field.
- 1-4 p.m. – Open Volleyball, Student Recreation Center, Gym.
- 2-2:30 p.m. – Sprague Library Tour, Sprague Library, Lobby.

- 2 p.m. – Express Yourself: Dance Makers 2025, Life Hall, Studio Theatre 1200.

- 3:30-4:30 p.m. – Express Yourself: From Page to Picture: Adapting Books for Screen, School of Communications and Media, Presentation Hall.
- 4-5:30 p.m. – Express Yourself: Montclair Film’s StorySlam, Dickson Hall, Room 177.
- 5:30-6:30 p.m. – Express Yourself: The Next Chapter: Alumni Authors Tell All, Dickson Hall, Room 178.
- 8 p.m. – Spring Concert | Celebrating Stevie, Collaborative Artist Par Excellence, Alexander Kasser Theater.
