Undergraduate Orientation

Where to Start?

Undergraduate Orientation takes place before the start of your first semester.

First – know your CWID number and claim your NetID. You will need your NetID in order to access your NEST account and the Orientation Portal.

Next – regularly check your Montclair email and complete event registration in the Orientation Portal.

Finally – complete all remaining steps on the Orientation Portal.

Spring 2025 New Students

Access the Orientation Portal – Available late November 2024. New students will be added to the Orientation Portal within 24-48 hours of claiming their NetID.

Complete Pre-Orientation Course – Available December 2024. New students will be added into “New to the Nest Orientation Spring 2025” course on Canvas after claiming their NetID. New students must also complete one Orientation+ webinar, which they may select in the Orientation Portal.

Attend New Student Orientation (on-campus) – Join us for a one day, on-campus New Student Orientation Day in January 2025. Students are assigned their Orientation day and must confirm their reservation in the Orientation Portal.

Fall 2025 New Students

More information will be shared late March 2025.

New Student Orientation dates for new students enrolling in Fall 2025 will take place between August 18 and August 28, 2025. Classes in Fall 2025 will begin Friday, August 29, 2025.
