Through Online and Extended Learning, Montclair State University offers a broad range of continuing education opportunities. The continuing studies classes and workshops are taught by experts in the field and focus on professional development, personal enrichment and career advancement.
For the initial program launch, Montclair State University is excited to partner with the Adult School Department of the Montclair Public Library. “As a proud member of the Montclair community, we are pleased to share our faculty expertise and research advancements with the surrounding community,” says Peter McAliney, executive director of Online and Extended Learning. “Our upcoming roster of classes will address the needs of area employers and enhance those employee skills essential for success in a continually changing workplace environment.”
Develop your employability skills with our first professional development seminar, Strategic Decision Making and Leadership through a Gendered Lens. This hands-on workshop will discuss the influence of gendered perspectives and use decision-making scenarios to transform information into better business decisions. “Understanding the heart of leadership practice lends itself to successful leadership behaviors,” explains Joan Ficke, dean of The Graduate School.
Whether you are a current student, recent graduate or seasoned professional, the workshop will support your professional and educational growth. You will walk away with strategies and tools to strengthen your leadership, problem-solving and communication skills. Participants will also receive a leadership credential for digital badging on social media and networking groups, such as LinkedIn. The workshop will be held on February 11, 2017 in the Center for Clinical Services at Montclair State University.
