Rocky’s Closet is an initiative to help students who are in need of professional clothing. They say “dress for the job you want” but that’s not easy if you don’t have the proper attire and can’t afford to buy it. At Rocky’s Closet, you can simply make an appointment and and leave with a whole new professional wardrobe!
Send an email to rockyscloset@montclair.edu and list all times and dates you are available to come in. The closet is only available to current Montclair State University students, faculty or staff members with a valid ID.
Please Note: We do not accept walk-ins.
Donate to Rocky’s Closet
Rocky’s Closet accepts new or gently used professional and casual clothing, shoes and accessories.
To donate, email rockyscloset@montclair.edu with the types of clothing (e.g., shoes, blazers, dresses) and sizes you’d like to give. We accept gender-neutral/inclusive clothing and casual clothing options as well. All items must be washed or dry-cleaned before donating. A staff member will coordinate a drop-off time within 24-48 hours. Please Note: We do not accept undergarments.
Other Ways to Give
If you don’t have clothing to donate, you can still support Rocky’s Closet through monetary contributions or our Amazon Wish List. Donations help cover dry-cleaning costs and essential items like dress socks, undergarments and belts.
