Virtual Festival Highlights Theatre and Dance
Collaboration brings fall 2020 productions to remote audiences
Posted in: Arts
When the College of the Arts decided that Theatre and Dance students would return to campus last fall under strict Covid-19 safety protocols, that meant that they would still be able to perform, but as a safety precaution, there would be no audience to perform for.
Now, with the help of the broadcast media production students and high-tech facilities in the School of Communication and Media, a collaboration meant the students’ extraordinary performances would not go unseen.
The Broadcast and Media Operations department helped produce programs for those performances that have been packaged together and turned into a Virtual Festival through the Arts + Cultural Programming portal where the fall 2020 shows will premier and stay for a while for theatergoers to enjoy.
