German is the most important language for European business markets. German companies like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, DHL Shipping, Allianz, Deutsche Bank, UBS, T-Mobile, Merck, Bayer, Pfizer, BASF Chemicals, Aldi, Adidas, and many others have an important presence in American markets, and American companies are increasingly launching international European offices based in German-speaking countries.
German and Swiss companies typically have strong salaries, excellent benefits, and opportunities for international travel and growth.
For these reasons, many students at MSU choose to combine their study of Business with study of German.
There are many ways to combine interests in German and Business at MSU:
- Major in German, with Minor in Business, Entrepreneurship, Economics, or Business Relationships and Professional Selling.
