Choosing from three concentrations (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean), majors will acquire the advanced language skills required to communicate effectively in the target Asian language. Moreover, the study abroad option will provide students with the opportunity for total immersion in their target Asian language and culture.

Careers
In addition to the personal and intellectual growth provided by the major, students will gain the skills required for employment in the fields of translation, law, business, education, or the media. They may pursue a diplomatic career with the State Department and the Federal Government, work with an NGO or a multi-national corporation, continue their study in graduate school, teach, or pursue a career in Asia.
