Accepted Military Affiliated Student Checklist

Step 1
Apply for VA Education Benefits or Obtain National Guard Waiver

If you have not done so already, apply for VA education benefits. Once you receive your VA Certificate of Eligibility, please email a copy along with your DD214 (veterans and service members only) to veteranadvising@montclair.edu.

If you have used your benefits at another school and you need to transfer them please click here.

OR

Obtain your Commander’s Cerficate if you are NJ National Guard Member. Please email a signed copy to veteranadvising@montclair.edu.

Step 2
Apply for Financial Aid

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to apply for financial aid. If you have any questions about applying for financial aid please contact the Office of Financial Aid at redhawkcentral@montclair.edu or 973-655-7600.
