Montclair Math Program One of Nation’s Best for Women in STEM

Researchers at the Washington Monthly media outlet used data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System to compare the gender distribution of every STEM program at 1,027 U.S. colleges and universities. They then ranked the 20 undergraduate programs with the highest and lowest percentage of recent graduates who are female in 10 popular STEM fields, including mathematics. Montclair was ranked as the third best college for women in mathematics nationwide, with 69.3% of recent mathematics program graduates being women and 62.5% of the overall institution’s student body being women.
