Aryanna Garcia is a psychology major. She described her experience in MATH 106 Creative thinking through Math:

My opinion of mathematics shifted in a positive direction while at MSU. While taking the course creative thinking through math, I was able to overcome my negative thinking. I was able to learn different techniques for solving problems. This shift was all with a creative lens. Professor Nina Bailey helped shift my opinion on mathematics. As someone who has always struggled with math, Professor Bailey truly changed my opinion.

Aryanna described a lesson on the Pythagorean Theorem and explained that previously she never knew “why we use the theorem, but Professor Bailey provided us with that explanation while showing us to think outside of the box.”
