Posted in: Faculty and Student Research, Students and Alumni
Doctoral students Amanda Provost, Su San Lim, and Toni York along with their supervisor Dr. Nicole Panorkou presented at the 44th annual meeting of the North American Chapter of the International Group of the Psychology of Mathematics Education (PMENA) in Nashville, Tennessee. Their project “Bridging Frequentist and Classical Probability through Design” focused on data from a design experiment in a sixth-grade classroom. The group observed how their design influenced the students’ reasoning and supported their construction of bridges between the two probability models.
